Thank you to everyone involved for making the day such a huge success, so much love for our beautiful Jake.
The support, as always, has been overwhelming, our JustGiving page www.justgiving.com/rideforjake2015 stands at £23193 & is still rising. Thanks to Helen & all the staff at the Lifeboat Inn Thornham who looked after us last night, the food & hospitality were wonderfu.

Tonight we had our Ride For Jake 2015 shirt launch at The Woodies in their newly refurbished Mediterranean garden. It was such a success & was really good to meet everyone who will be joining us on this years ride on 13th June. Thanks to Andrew Barlow, our shirt designer, who produced another winning design & also thanks to Brian Gibb at thecyclejersey.com for making up our shirts in record time. A big thank you must go to our shirt sponsors this year Knauf Drywall UK and SIG Insulation we are truly grateful for your support.
We would like to thank Kate Chell a local jewellery designer for donating 10 of these beautiful sterling silver bracelets & necklaces for us to sell with all proceeds going to Jakes Foundation. The cost of the necklace is £25 & the bracelet £20, Kate is also willing to make further anchor necklaces & bracelets for us to sell at cost so if anyone would like to order one please contact us via the email address email@example.com a huge thank you to Kate for her generosity.
We had an inspirational tour of the Research Labs at QMUL today. Thanks to Brain Tumour Research, who are raising money to fund scientists there to find a cure for Glioblastoma, the deadliest & most common brain tumour found in adult, the type of tumour that robbed us of our beautiful Jake. To fund this dedicated team is a million pounds a year or £2740 a day. So this is why we need to keep raising money to help fund the fight.
On Friday 27th March Sainsburys Ansty Park, our charity partner of the year, held an Easter Fair for Jakes Foundation. We ran a cake stall with cakes donated from many family & friends, we were, as always, overwhelmed by the response for your help. We raised £155 from the cake stall & the other stalls combined raised a huge £1120 !!!! Everyone at Sainsburys have been amazing to work with so much enthusiasm to help raise as much money as they can for Jakes Foundation.
